Charlie & Rebecca Shaw
Memphis Tennessee
June 5 2010
Part One
As a photographer, I always dream of what shooting the "perfect" wedding would look like.
1. outside
2. lots of detail
3. obviously.. LOVE
4. lay back family... (which equals lay back family photos!)
5. a couple that is so truly in love, that you can't possibly mess up their photos
6. an hour an 1/2 with the couple alone at sunset
7. good food
8. good people
9. good party
10. a bride that you consider a close friend, and then after the wedding you consider almost like family
Charlie and Rebecca surpassed all of those expectations!!
I first met Rebecca in Hawaii during our school of photography. We were inseparable, and make plenty of inappropriate jokes. We had a blast, although I'm not so sure about the people around us! :D (sorry SOP girls!) ANYWAYS!!! When I heard she was engaged, I had a sneaky feeling I would be able to shoot her wedding. I never imagined that it would be THIS good of a wedding.
I was in Memphis from Thursday till Sunday. IT WAS EPIC! I got to hang out with Becca, we even shared a bed, got to hang out with her best friends, and enjoy her family and her new family. Like I said, EPIC! I had such a good time, and by the end I felt like I had a whole new Memphis family.
The day of the wedding is INSANITY! good insanity, but insanity non the less. The wedding wasn't until 7, but we had this amazing rooftop deck to decorate all while the clouds loomed over about to bring upon an insane amounts of rain. We brought in out all the chairs, the boys were doing the music sound stuff, the ladies were doing the flowers, and Becca was trying to not let Charlie see her! We got it all set up, we went to one of the NICEST hotels in Memphis (I think!)and got all dolled up. Becca looked like a beautiful bride, and their were plenty of tears and smiles.
Here is part 1 of a part 3 series on the blog. I couldn't help myself. There is just to much goodness in this wedding not to post all the photos that I'm going to post! SO CHECK BACK SOON for part 2... the ceremony.
But before then..
PRE WEDDING!
when in memphis, wear cowboy boots!
classic
funny story (now!) becca's dress' zipper broke approximately 10 min before the wedding! but after an amazing save by mum she was just 5 minutes late! (her mum sewed her into the dress!)
Stay tuned for part 2!
